Participants

CANIMUN is the only conference in Canada to receive delegations from all provinces and territories. The objective to make CANIMUN truly pan-Canadian provides participants with a unique opportunity to interact with young people from all parts of the country an opportunity that is both unusual and highly valuable in a country with the geographic dimensions and cultural diversity of Canada.

Delegates from other countries will also be joining Canadian delegates to further add to the unique and diverse cultural backgrounds of delegates at the conference. Participation at CANIMUN promises to make the event truly international in scope, thus giving delegates a better and more realistic insight into the United Nations.

Conference Staff

CANIMUN assembles a team of staff from across Canada and the United States that will also serve to demonstrate the unique and diverse nature of our country. The Chairs, Directors and Rapporteurs are a highly qualified group of individuals ready to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for Model UN with all delegates.

Agenda

The Wednesday-Saturday Agenda format is unique in that it will give delegates an opportunity to enjoy an extra day in Vancouver once the conference has come to an end. Given that closing ceremonies will take place on Saturday afternoon, delegates will have a chance to spend a large portion of Sunday visiting sights in Vancouver and/or for travel home. Furthermore, this type of configuration will also allow for 3 full days of committee work and an evening [Saturday] free of next-day conference commitments and committee responsibilities.
