Interpretation

CANIMUN is the only University-level Model UN conference in Canada to be held in both official languages. Opening ceremonies, along with a selected number of committees, will enjoy simultaneous interpretation at all times. In addition, CANIMUN will include committees that will only conduct their business in one official language, therefore requiring delegates to be fluent in English or French, depending on the committee, prior to registration. This feature aims to reflect Canada’s linguistic nature while adding to the realism of a United Nations simulation.
